Dearest Nanny, It's taken me so long to write something on your page, losing you has been so so hard. You were the best Nanny by far. There's been so many times I've just thought about popping over for a cup of tea, but then realise you've actually gone. It breaks my heart that we won't see you again. Love you so much. Here's the poem I wrote for you. Nanny' I wanted to write a poem for you Like you always loved to do The poem you wrote for my wedding day Puts a smile on my face everyday Lots of memories of the times spent together Even when we just talked about the weather Coming round to see you for a cup of tea With plenty of biscuits was special to me From remembering having beans and sausages from a tin And giving Freddie the dog a tickle under his chin Family gatherings together on boxing day With some frozen crab sticks being thrown away Celebrating your 80th birthday was fun Surrounded by all your loved ones Timothy and Rosalie loved coming round Especially if treats were to be found There are so many things I could say As I loved you every single day Today I am meant to say my goodbyes But please make sure you fly up high You were the best nanny I could ask for And i will still love you more and more Helen xxxx
